Moment, based right here in Reno, has been an ardent supporter of Skiing the Basin since the 2020-2021 season. I encourage you to swing by their new factory and chat with their knowledgeable crew. They makes whatever ski they want, and I can guarantee you want whatever ski they make!
Here are a few thoughts on my current quiver after hundreds of cumulative days, thousands of hours, and hundreds of thousands of vertical feet.
Daily Driver
The Deathwish Tour (DWT) series has never stopped impressing me. I reach for the DWT 112 when I want a setup that can tackle everything from chunder to powder to firm to slush. Big vertical and spring corn days match well with the DWT 104, a ski that feels equally at home carving high speed turns as it does holding an edge in committing, no-fall-zones.
Powder & Resort
The Chipotle Banana (CB) is my resort/backcountry crossover ski, and let me tell you, I have never had as much fun sliding on snow as I have with these planks. Pivot, slash, stomp, charge, and grin like crazy the whole time.
Bindings
All of my setups wouldn’t be complete without Moment’s Voyager bindings, the best made (thank you ATK) and most well thought out (thank you Moment) touring binding on the market.
New to the crew in 2024, C.A.M.P. is providing all the technical equipment necessary to safely and efficiently traverse the landscape. From crampons and ice axes, to packs and gloves I am thankful for their support and look forward to beating things up in the Basin.
